1300cc Saloon Stocks Rules
Current rules and information for 1300cc Saloon Stocks.
1. Racing Spirit & Enjoyment
1300cc Saloon Stocks is a full-contact formula. Hard racing, pushing, spinning, fencing and legal follow-ins are all part of the fun.
However, full contact does not mean all-out chaos.
Drivers are expected to race competitively while respecting the rules, other drivers and the spirit of UKSOR. Deliberately dangerous driving, repeated reckless behaviour, retaliation or driving purely to disrupt a meeting may result in action from UKSOR Race Control.
UKSOR Race Control may also act against deliberately dangerous, malicious or clearly unsporting driving even where the exact manoeuvre is not specifically covered by these rules. This is not intended to penalise legitimate hard, full-contact Saloon Stock racing.
2. Driver Registration & Eligibility
All drivers must be registered with UKSOR and have an allocated race number before competing, in accordance with the UKSOR General Rules.
Registration is completed through the #driver-registration channel on the UKSOR Discord server. Race numbers are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
During meetings, a driver’s in-game name must contain their registered race number, for example:
Only registered UKSOR drivers are eligible to score Championship or Series points.
Failure to display the correct registered number may result in exclusion from the results and/or points.
3. Racing Conduct
Driver’s Door
This is an overriding safety rule and applies regardless of whether a driver is attempting a spin, follow-in, fencing manoeuvre or any other form of contact.
Accidental door contact can occur during normal full-contact racing and will be judged according to the circumstances. Deliberate driver-door targeting will be penalised.
Fencing
Fencing is permitted where the attacking car makes contact from its front bumper to the rear/rear bumper area of the car ahead and drives that car towards or into the fence.
Deliberately attacking the side or driver’s-door area of another car in order to fence it is prohibited.
Follow-ins
Follow-ins are permitted as part of normal full-contact racing.
A deliberate follow-in on the driver’s side is strictly prohibited.
Deliberately targeting the driver’s-door area with a heavy follow-in will be treated as a serious infringement.
Spinning
Deliberately spinning another car is permitted.
Contact to the rear or rear-quarter may be used to turn another car either left or right. Normal side contact occurring while completing a spin is permitted.
The overriding Driver’s Door rule still applies.
Parked or Disabled Cars
Drivers must not deliberately hit a car that is stationary and no longer actively racing, including a car that has broken down, become stranded or stopped because it cannot continue.
A car temporarily stationary as the result of normal racing contact, a spin or an ongoing incident is not automatically considered a parked car.
Attacking From the Infield
Drivers must not deliberately attack another car from the infield or while rejoining the circuit.
A driver must safely return to the normal racing surface before making further racing contact.
Corner Cutting
One or two wheels inside the normal racing line is permitted where the circuit allows.
Deliberately taking all four wheels inside a corner, across the infield or outside the defined racing surface to shorten the circuit or gain an advantage is prohibited.
Recovering & Rejoining
A driver recovering from a spin, collision or other incident is responsible for rejoining safely.
Drivers must not deliberately pull across the circuit or into the path of approaching traffic. Where necessary, the driver must wait for a safe opportunity to rejoin.
Rejoin safely first, then resume full-contact racing.
Wrong-Way Driving
Deliberately driving against the normal direction of the race is strictly prohibited.
A driver who has been spun or is facing the wrong direction must recover safely and must not deliberately drive into approaching traffic.
Any deliberate wrong-way attack may also be referred to UKSOR Admins for further disciplinary action.
4. Starting Procedure
Drivers will line up according to their current grade:
Drivers line up two abreast within their grade and must follow any additional instructions issued by Race Control.
There is no fixed starting order within each individual grade unless Race Control states otherwise.
ROLL
When Race Control issues the ROLL instruction, the field must begin rolling at approximately:
Drivers must remain two abreast and maintain a sensible gap to the car ahead.
There is no overtaking, jumping positions or racing during the rolling lap.
GO / GREEN FLAG
When Race Control issues GO / GREEN FLAG, the race is live immediately.
Normal full-contact racing rules apply from that point. There is no formal first-lap or first-corner non-contact restriction.
Drivers are nevertheless expected to exercise reasonable caution approaching Turn 1 while the field remains tightly grouped.
Jumped Starts
A jumped start will not cause the race to be restarted.
Race Control may issue a warning, position penalty or results penalty depending upon the severity of the infringement and any advantage gained.
5. Blue Flag
The Blue Flag indicates that the race leader or leading cars are approaching to lap a driver.
The driver being lapped must allow the leaders to pass when safe to do so.
A driver being lapped must not deliberately block, defend against or attack a leading car while that car is attempting to lap them.
Drivers should hold a predictable line and allow the leaders through at the first safe opportunity.
Once the leaders have passed, the driver may continue racing normally.
6. Chequered Flag & Race Finish
When the race leader receives the Chequered Flag, other drivers remain racing until they complete their own current lap and cross the finish.
Drivers may continue racing normally for position until they themselves receive the Chequered Flag.
Once a driver has received the Chequered Flag, their race is complete.
Drivers should clear the circuit as directed by Race Control and must not initiate new deliberate attacks or retaliatory contact after receiving the Chequered Flag.
7. Meeting Format
A UKSOR 1300cc Saloon Stock meeting may consist of a number of:
The number of Heats may vary depending upon the venue and meeting programme.
UKSOR will publish the planned meeting format in advance wherever possible.

Grand National
Grand Nationals use the same UKSOR system as the F2 Stockcars.
The Final winner is subject to the established UKSOR Grand National rule: where they finish within the qualifying GN positions, their applicable GN points are doubled.
Every scheduled points-scoring meeting attended counts towards the Championship. There are no dropped rounds, discarded scores or best-round calculations.
9. Race Classification
50% DNF Rule
A driver who does not finish a race but has completed at least 50% of the scheduled race distance may remain classified and is eligible to score points according to their official classified finishing position.
The official race result published by UKSOR will determine the final classification and points awarded.
10. Grading System
| Grade | Meeting Average |
|---|---|
| Superstar | Over 42 |
| Red | Over 31 to 42 |
| Blue | Over 23 to 31 |
| Yellow | Over 16 to 23 |
| White | 16 or below |
New Drivers
All drivers competing in UKSOR 1300cc Saloon Stocks for the first time begin at White Grade.
They remain White until sufficient meetings have been completed for them to be included in a scheduled grading review.
Four-Meeting Grading Blocks
Grades are reviewed following each scheduled four-meeting grading block.
A missed meeting is not recorded as a zero for grading purposes.
Example: 70 points from 2 meetings = average of 35.
Upgrades
Upgrades are unrestricted. A driver may move through more than one grade during a review where their calculated average places them in a higher grade.
Downgrades
A driver may be downgraded by a maximum of one grade during any grading review.
Final Wins & Admin Review
Final victories will be recorded and highlighted during the grading review.
Winning a Final does not automatically promote a driver.
UKSOR Admins may consider Final victories and overall demonstrated performance and may override a calculated grade upwards where the calculated average does not reasonably reflect the driver’s performance.
Returning Drivers
A driver returning to UKSOR 1300cc Saloon Stocks after an extended absence will return at their previously held grade.
A returning driver’s grade does not automatically reset to White.
Driver Responsibility
All drivers are responsible for confirming their correct grade prior to each meeting.
Drivers must ensure their car skin displays the appropriate roof colour for their grade and upload the updated skin to LFS.net for use on the server.
The grades published on the UKSOR website are the official grades to be used.
11. Championship Roofs
| Championship | Roof |
|---|---|
| Points Championship | Silver Roof |
| Scottish Championship | St Andrew’s Cross |
| Irish Open Championship | Green & White Chequered |
| British Championship | Black & White Chequered |
| European Championship | Red & Yellow Chequered |
| World Championship | Gold Roof |
Champions Grade
Championship holders start behind the normal graded drivers.
The World Champion occupies the rearmost Championship position.
Multiple Championship Holders
Where a driver holds more than one current Championship title, they remain recognised as holder of all those titles.
For grid positioning, only their highest-ranking Championship title is used.
Points Champion
The winner of the UKSOR 1300cc Series becomes the UKSOR 1300cc Points Champion and is entitled to display the Silver Roof.
The Silver Roof remains with that driver until the next UKSOR 1300cc Points Champion is crowned.
The driver’s underlying normal grade continues to be calculated and recorded while they hold the Championship roof.
World Championship
The UKSOR 1300cc World Championship will be contested alongside Series 2.
The winner becomes the UKSOR 1300cc World Champion and is entitled to display the Gold Roof.
The World Champion occupies the final/rearmost position within the Champions Grade.
12. Cancelled, Shortened & Abandoned Meetings
If a meeting is cancelled before racing begins, no Championship points are awarded. The meeting may be rescheduled.
If racing begins but the meeting is subsequently abandoned before the scheduled meeting is completed, the entire meeting will be declared void.
Points from races completed before the abandonment will not count towards the Championship.
If the meeting is subsequently rescheduled, the rescheduled meeting will be treated as a new Series points meeting.
This is separate from a meeting where Race Control deliberately alters or shortens the programme because of time constraints, server issues, technical problems or other circumstances.
Where Race Control formally declares a revised meeting programme and that revised programme is completed, the meeting is considered a valid completed meeting and its points will count.
13. Race Control, Penalties & Disputes
UKSOR Race Control may take action where a driver breaches these rules.
Any action taken will depend upon the nature, severity and circumstances of the infringement.
Penalties may include:
- Warning
- Position penalty
- Points deduction
- Race disqualification
- Removal from the meeting
- Referral to UKSOR Admins for further disciplinary action
Serious or deliberately dangerous conduct may result in immediate removal without prior warning.
If a driver wishes to dispute a decision or report an incident for review, the matter must be submitted through the #disputes channel on the UKSOR Discord server.
UKSOR Admins will review the incident and make any final decision or further adjustment considered necessary.
14. UKSOR General Rules
All drivers competing in UKSOR 1300cc Saloon Stocks are also subject to the UKSOR General Rules.
Drivers must follow instructions issued by UKSOR Admins and Race Control during organised meetings.
Race Control instructions take priority during a meeting, and drivers are expected to cooperate with officials so meetings can be run efficiently and remain enjoyable for everyone.
