Notts Corner has seen its fair share of lively meetings, but nothing quite prepared the paddock for the sheer mayhem that unfolded during the latest event. “Going Nuts @ Notts Corner” wasn’t just a catchy title — it became a prophecy. From the moment the green flag dropped, each heat delivered a relentless stream of drama, daring moves, and the kind of unpredictable chaos that makes short‑oval racing so addictive.
Practice before the event began hinted at speed but gave no warning of the carnage to come. The front‑runners were separated by fractions, confidence was high, and everyone seemed convinced they had a shot. That optimism didn’t survive long.
Heat 1,2 & 3 was dominated by ELLIS#823 with fastest laptimes in heats 1 & 2, [PM] Jam 616 setting the fastest lap in Heat 3. Although ELLIS#823 set fastest laptime again in Heat 4 the win went to Jamin. All change again in Heat 5 with ColinH66 taking the win and [PM] Jam 616 taking his second fastest lap of the meeting. ELLIS#823 came back in Heat 6 to his fourth win.
With an eight car grid for the Final is was ColinH66 who took the win, 2nd was Jamin and 3rd was [PM[ Jam 616, cap27 took the fastest lap in this race. The upset of the final is after dominating the heats ELLIS#823 only managed 7th position.

It was time for the mayhem that it is Destuction Derby. The vans took to field like gladiators and after almighty battles it was [TSR]GamerGaz who emerged triumphant.
It was opportunism at its finest — and a reminder that at Notts Corner, survival is often the fastest strategy.
“Going Nuts @ Notts Corner” lived up to its name in every possible way. It was messy, thrilling, unpredictable, and wildly entertaining — everything grassroots racing should be. The drivers may need a week to recover, but the fans are already asking when the next round is.
If this is the new standard for Notts Corner, the next event is going to be an absolute riot.
